The AIDA Global AI Design Awards Ceremony, organised by Homestyler, was held at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, Italy, bringing together international designers, academics, and industry professionals focused on artificial intelligence in design.
The event showcased a large number of AI-assisted and AI-generated design entries submitted globally, with participants competing across multiple categories centred on innovation in interior design and digital creativity.
The ceremony emphasised the increasing role of artificial intelligence in design workflows, particularly in areas such as space planning, 3D modelling, and visualisation. Organisers highlighted AI’s impact in improving efficiency and enabling more personalised design solutions.
Speaking at the event, Luciano Galimberti, President of the Association for Industrial Design (ADI), stated that AI has become an important practical tool for designers, while stressing that creative direction and responsibility must remain with human professionals.
Matteo Ingaramo of Politecnico di Milano noted that AI tools are now essential in modern design practice, improving both speed and quality of output while supporting localised and customised design approaches.
Sooshin Choi of the Savannah College of Art and Design said that human creativity remains central in the AI era, describing AI as a collaborative tool that supports rather than replaces designers.
Homestyler presented its AI design ecosystem, including tools for floor planning, 3D modelling, rendering, and interior styling, which the company said significantly reduces traditional design production time.
The event at the ADI Design Museum highlighted the growing integration of artificial intelligence into global design practice and its expanding influence on creative industries.
