Liquid C2, a subsidiary of Cassava Technologies, has partnered with Google Cloud to launch Africa’s first Partner Experience Centre to accelerate the continent’s artificial intelligence and cloud innovation network.
The new facility, located in Johannesburg, South Africa, is designed as a hands-on innovation hub where technology partners, developers, startups, and public-sector stakeholders can design, test, and scale AI-powered solutions tailored to African market needs.
The centre provides direct access to advanced Google Cloud tools, including Gemini Enterprise and a dedicated AI experimentation environment known as the “Gemini Playspace,” enabling rapid prototyping and deployment of real-world applications.
According to Cassava Technologies, the initiative is structured to move partners beyond traditional reselling models by equipping them with structured training pathways, certification opportunities, and engineering support to build scalable digital solutions.
Speaking on the development, Cassava Technologies executives emphasised that the centre is intended to strengthen Africa’s digital ecosystem by combining global cloud innovation with local expertise to address long-standing barriers, including skills shortages, infrastructure gaps, and deployment complexity.
Google Cloud leadership also described the collaboration as a strategic step toward expanding access to advanced AI capabilities across Africa, noting that strong partner connectivity will be key to driving digital transformation and inclusive economic growth.
The initiative is anchored in three core pillars: accelerated partner enablement, AI and technology innovation, and economic growth through job creation, with the expectation that it will help develop local technical talent and stimulate new digital enterprise opportunities across the continent.
Industry analysts say the move reflects growing investment momentum in Africa’s cloud and AI markets, as global technology firms increasingly position the region as a key frontier for digital expansion.
