A Lagos-based technology company, Unovia Technologies, has officially launched Lana, an AI-powered workspace management platform described as Africa’s first solution of its kind, designed for coworking spaces, gyms, and short-term apartment operators.
The platform was developed to address operational inefficiencies commonly faced by facility managers and business owners who rely on manual processes or disconnected tools to manage memberships, payments, access control, and daily administrative workflows.
Lana provides a centralised digital system that enables operators to manage subscriptions, track payments in real time, control access permissions, monitor facility usage, and automate routine administrative tasks through a unified intelligent dashboard.
According to the company, the platform combines artificial intelligence-driven automation with practical business management tools aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and operational control across shared facility environments.
Key features of the system include real-time payment tracking and subscription management, smart access control and attendance monitoring, integrated identity verification (KYC) for enhanced security, automated renewal reminders, revenue tracking, and centralised operational dashboards designed to provide full visibility into business performance.
Unovia Technologies said the platform is designed to help businesses reduce revenue leakage, improve accountability, and scale operations without increasing administrative burden.
Speaking at the launch, Founder of Unovia Technologies, Pal Wabuson, said many businesses struggle not because of a lack of demand, but due to poor systems.
“Most businesses don’t lose money because they lack customers; they lose money because they lack systems. Lana is our answer to that. We didn’t just build software, we built an intelligent system that gives business owners full visibility, control, and structure over their operations,” he said.
He added that the platform is designed to function as a “digital operations manager” for businesses across different shared-space sectors.

“From coworking spaces to gyms to short-term apartments, Lana is designed to work like a digital operations manager tracking payments, managing access, verifying identities, and helping businesses run smarter, not harder,” Wabuson said.
The company stated that Lana has been tailored specifically for the African market, where many small and medium-scale operators still depend on manual bookkeeping or fragmented digital tools that limit efficiency and scalability.
By digitising core operational processes, Unovia Technologies said it aims to support business growth while improving customer experience and service delivery standards across the sector.
Early users of the platform have reported improvements in operational oversight and management efficiency.
A representative of House 12 Coworking Space said the platform has significantly improved how membership and payment tracking are handled.
“Before Lana, managing members and tracking payments was stressful and sometimes inaccurate. Now everything is automated, and clearly we can see who is active, who needs renewal, and who has access in real time,” the representative said.
Similarly, a representative of De Apartment, a short-term accommodation provider, noted improvements in security and guest management processes.
“Identity verification and access control used to be a major concern for us. Lana has completely changed that. It gives us confidence and structure in how we manage guests,” the representative said.
Unovia Technologies said Lana is now available to businesses across Africa, with an onboarding process designed to accommodate both small and large-scale operators as demand for digital workspace management tools continues to grow.
