Gamma, the AI-powered content creation platform known for transforming prompts into presentations and lightweight webpages, has introduced a new AI image generation feature called Gamma Imagine, positioning itself as a competitor to Canva and Adobe.
The tool enables users to generate a wide range of visual content, including marketing materials, infographics, social media graphics, and interactive charts, simply by entering text prompts.
Launching its new AI image generation tool, Gamma Imagine. The CEO and co-founder of Gamma, Grant Lee, says, “There’s a hidden tax on every knowledge worker in the world. Every meeting, every pitch, every proposal expects you to show up with something that looks like a designer made it. Today, we’re eliminating it for good with our biggest launch ever.”
Lee emphasised that the new functionality was developed in response to early user feedback from knowledge workers seeking advanced graphic creation capabilities within a single workflow. He added, “We think we can serve the very long tail of knowledge workers…who just don’t have the tools.”
Gamma Imagine is built directly into the platform’s editor and complements its existing library of templates, allowing users to create polished visuals without switching between multiple tools. The company has also integrated the system with popular productivity and automation platforms, enabling teams to streamline creative workflows.
The launch is timely, coming as generative AI features are becoming standard in creative software. Canva has expanded its suite of AI-assisted design tools, while Adobe’s Firefly models now power image generation and editing across its Creative Cloud applications.
