Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has called on public sector auditors to harness artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies to enhance accountability, strengthen financial oversight and protect public resources for development.

The governor noted that the adoption of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies could significantly enhance the ability of auditors to analyse large volumes of financial data, identify potential risks and strengthen oversight mechanisms across public institutions.
Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prudent financial management, transparency and responsible governance, adding that effective auditing remains essential to achieving sustainable development and delivering value to citizens.
