LG Electronics has showcased its latest artificial intelligence-powered cooling systems at Mega Clima Nigeria 2026 in Lagos, highlighting how smart climate technologies are reshaping energy efficiency and building management across Africa.
The exhibition, held at the Landmark Centre, brought together global HVAC manufacturers, engineers, and industry stakeholders to explore innovations in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC+R).
LG used the platform to present a new generation of cooling solutions designed to reduce energy consumption while improving performance in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
A key focus of LG’s display was its Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, particularly the Multi V series, which the company says can connect up to 64 indoor units in a single system. These systems are designed to deliver scalable cooling for large buildings while optimising energy use through intelligent control features.
LG also introduced its AI-powered VRF solution, the Multi V i, which leverages AI to enhance operational efficiency and system monitoring. The system is designed to analyse usage patterns and environmental conditions to adjust performance in real time, improving both energy savings and comfort.
Speaking at the event, LG Electronics Nigeria’s Business Development Manager, Ifeoluwa Babarinsa, said the company’s solutions are tailored to meet diverse market needs, ranging from large-scale industrial applications to residential environments.

According to Babarinsa, “The Multi V.5 is designed for industrial and commercial use, while the Multi VS caters to residential customers seeking energy-efficient cooling solutions. Both systems provide flexibility, scalability, and improved energy management for different building types.”
He added that Nigeria remains a strategic hub for LG’s operations in West Africa, emphasising the importance of introducing advanced technologies that align with the region’s growing infrastructure and energy efficiency needs.
The company also showcased a range of indoor HVAC units compatible with its VRF systems, including Round Cassette, Ceiling Concealed, and Four-Way Cassette models.
LG noted that these units are designed to improve airflow distribution, provide flexible installation options, and enhance cooling performance in spaces where traditional systems may be less effective.
Beyond product demonstrations, LG emphasised its broader strategy of integrating artificial intelligence into climate control systems to enable predictive maintenance, smarter energy management, and improved operational reliability.
The company said this approach aligns with its global push toward intelligent and connected home and building technologies.
Industry observers at the event noted that rising urbanisation and increasing energy demands across African cities are driving interest in more efficient cooling systems, particularly as businesses seek to reduce operational costs while maintaining comfort and productivity.
LG said its participation in Mega Clima Nigeria 2026 reflects its commitment to supporting sustainable infrastructure development in the region through innovation and long-term partnerships with local industry players.
Mega Clima Nigeria is one of West Africa’s leading HVAC exhibitions, attracting hundreds of exhibitors and professionals from across the globe to showcase the latest developments in climate control and building technologies.
The 2026 edition placed strong emphasis on energy efficiency, smart building systems, and digital transformation in the HVAC sector.
